Training

Universal Balancing has offer a programme of training courses throughout the UK, Europe & U.S.A, they are designed specifically to dispel the perception of dynamic balancing as a "black art".

A day-long, introductory-level course aims to give engineers, product designers and operators a fundamental appreciation of the principles of balancing. It provides general information on single and multi-plane balancing methods, as well as both vertical and horizontal-axis measurement machines.

In addition, the course explains the suitability of hard or soft-bearing equipment for particular applications. Priced at £150 / $275 / 250 euro’s per person based on a class of 6, including refreshments and course notes, the entry-level course is deliberately nonspecific to Universal Balancing products, making it ideal for new or existing users of all types of balancing systems.

An intermediate course offers more detailed information on machine setting and operation, along with a detailed appreciation of balancing "best practice". This theory and hands on course is divided between the classroom and actually on real balancing machines. UB can taylor this course to customers needs and can be held at customer premises.

Complementing this is an advanced course, geared primarily to the needs of maintenance personnel, which highlights trouble-shooting, support and remote diagnostics capabilities of Universal's Unibal equipment range. According to Managing Director, Steve Fowler, "We are keen to sweep away the mystery that seems to surround dynamic balancing. The introductory course gives a comprehensive overview and practical guide to the subject. It is also the foundation for the other courses, which will equip customers with the ability to become self-sufficient in terms of their balancing requirements".
