UNI-44 (Windows™ System)

UNI-44

The UNI-44 measuring system is the next generation measuring system from Universal Balancing. As well as providing unrivalled accuracy, the world leading measuring system has been designed to reduce the time taken to carry out balancing operations through ease of use and speed of measurement and correction. Suited for balancing in 2, 3 and 4 planes and for balancing as a standard from 141 – 12,000 x RPM, the UNI-44 is a must-choice for any balancing machine.

The system utilizes the latest digital sine wave demodulation techniques, all electronic components are surface mounted on a single board and housed in a stand alone unit delivering immaculate reliability. The measuring system is connected through a standard PC and controlled by Windows™ based balance software – Winbal. Operation is through a single operator interface via a touch screen monitor which can be mounted to the balancer or remotely for ease of operation.

Winbal is extremely easy to setup and operate with all content stored in easily navigated Windows styled tabs and folders. Visual, intuitive screen displays with pop-up menus and step-by-step screen prompts, enables untrained operators to carry out balancing operations effortlessly.

Setting up of jobs is a rapid process, once the rotor dimensions, correction methods and tolerances has been inputted, they are permanently stored making future recall possible at the touch of a button. Calibration and tooling compensation is a simple (on screen) 3 step procedure and is also permanently stored against the job.

Through Winbal, correction has never been easier. This has been made possible by real time encoder tracking showing exact angle of unbalance in real time and by the amount of unbalance being displayed as a moment and a measurement. Advanced functionalities such as indicative drill points and depths, mill arc angles, vector splitting, named weights and drill depth display; making first attempt correction a distinct reality.

Other advanced features include:

  • Comprehensive logging of all pre and post balancing operations to a printer, file, SQL database, network or serial port in plain text or HTML
  • Remote connection to the software for diagnosis and technical support by a Universal Balancing technician
  • Comprehensive correction methods such as drilling milling etc.
  • Keyway compensation
  • Detailed diagnostics functionality allowing the trace of every process
  • Control of pre or post manufacturing systems
  • Bar code recognition
  • Password protection so that any selected screen or function can be locked down
  • Plus much more.

Not only is the UNI-44 the most advanced measuring system on the market, unlike other manufacturers who charge for certain features within their measuring systems, the UNI-44 comes with many features as standard meaning no hidden charges and giving more value for money.
