Leaders in balancing technology
Universal Balancing’s range of balancing machines can be equipped with on-station correction facilities for semi, or full, automation of the balancing process. Typical automated on-station correction includes drilling, milling and welding heads.
The use of servo controlled correction facilities enables automated changeover between different types of rotors to be achieved at the touch of the button, reducing what was a time consuming task to a matter of minutes. A lower priced alternative to servo controlled automated balancing machines is available through the use of pneumatics, where changing between different types of rotor requires mechanical setup. Pneumatic versions are still quick to changeover in comparison to other manufacturers’ automated balancing machine offerings.
These single station, automated balancing machines, offer high accuracy and throughput delivering vast labour savings and guaranteeing that parts are balanced to within the required tolerance. Multiple automated balancing machine stations can be purchased to gain the required production rates in high volume applications. The benefit of this is that machines can be added or removed as production changes and in the unlikely event that one automated balancing machine suffers a breakdown the remaining single stations can still maintain a level of productivity.
